Rusty Williams: This is a much nicer radio than the original 1st generation 5 watt radio was. On my test equipment this 8 watt radio is doing 7.5 watts which for a Chinese radio is close enough. It has nice clear audio and the AM air band receive is much better than other "inexpensive" radios. The receive is almost as good as my Wouxun KG-UV9D+. The A36 Plus even came with a very usable antenna which won't need replaced with an upgrade. If you want a pretty good HT radio on the cheap, the Talkpod A36 Plus 8w is a good choice. Definitely a Baofeng killer! 🤣
