Sustainability Strategies
Despite our smaller scale, sustainability is a top priority for Talkpod. We have integrated sustainability into our overall business strategy to ensure that it aligns with our vision and mission.
Our Achievements
Though we are a small company, we've made significant progress in our sustainability efforts:
Customer Impact: We've enabled over 40,000 user in our local community to access affordable communication solutions through initiatives like Linkpoon app.
Privacy Protection: Talkpod takes data privacy seriously. We've handled 25,000 data subject requests, ensuring the privacy and security of our users.
Clean Energy: 60% of the electricity used at our headquarters in Fujian comes from clean and renewable sources, reducing our carbon footprint.
R&D Investment: In 2022, we invested 10.8% of our total revenue in research and development, to develop more sustainable products and solutions.
Sustainability Management
At Talkpod, we have implemented a sustainability management system inspired by the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle, taking into account both internal and external factors. While we may not have as many resources as larger companies, we are committed to making progress.
Key Areas: Our sustainability management system focuses on six key areas: leadership, planning, organization and skills support, process operations, performance appraisal, and system improvement.
CSD Management System: To guide our sustainability efforts, we have established a Corporate Sustainable Development (CSD) Committee, consisting of senior executives from various departments. This committee is responsible for developing sustainability strategies, policies, and objectives and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities: The CSD Committee's responsibilities include developing sustainability strategies, coordinating the sustainability management system, facilitating communication with stakeholders, addressing sustainability issues, and overseeing environmental, occupational health, and safety (EHS) matters.
Operations: The Committee meets quarterly to discuss sustainability issues and strategic goals. We've also appointed a working group to handle day-to-day sustainability tasks efficiently. Additionally, the Sustainability Report Editorial Board, led by the CSD Committee chairman, prepares and releases our sustainability reports.
While Talkpod may be a small enterprise, our commitment to sustainability is unwavering. We believe that every effort counts, and together, we can create a better, more sustainable future.
