David Matovich: I'm in no way and expert. I bought this as a spotter radio for wheeling and it works great for that purpose. It's easy enough to use coming from someone who is still used to the older CB radios. It comes in crystal clear and the NOA feature works great. The radio is built well. It's standard size and comes with a charging dock. It is a little tricky to get it in the dock though.
