The Talkpod A36Plus Max 8W Handheld, Long Range Two Way Radio is their newest radio avaliable to date at the present time and it's very comprehensive for me not being a Ham Operator. I ordered this long range radio to be able to tune into the multi frequencies as a scanner as well as listening to the NOAA Weather alerts when we RV across the Province and United States.

I still have a lot to learn about this radio and now I'm looking into joining our local Ham Radio Club to be able to communicate with others in the local area and beyond. You are able to set 999 channels so I am going to set up frequency like the airport and emergency services to listen as a scan for now.
This is an excellent Ham/ GMRS Handheld Radio that is prices right for someone like me to get into and perhaps get another TalkPod radio for us to communicate back and forth when we are at the campground. When I check to see the cost of other similar Ham/ GMRS radio's avaliable, this is a great value in this competitive market.
