I love the smaller size of the full performance VHF/UHF transceiver along with its outstanding unique look. I also like that it actually comes with a proper antenna - the 771 Aviation Antenna. Most HTs don’t come with a longer whip style antenna that this one has. It really helps to pull in the signals! The smaller size of this HT makes it that much more portable than most similarly performant VHF/UHF HTs. The radio has all of the features that you’d come to expect - full VHF/UHF Tx and Rx range, NOAA radio (simple button activation), it has Air Band (108-136 AM), will receive FM broadcast band, a 1.44” full color display, 16 key keypad w/auto-lock, 2 programmable side keys, 2.5 kHz step, SOS emergency button, battery saver timeout timer with alarm, 8 alphas character channel names, C-connector voice announce (English/Chinese) with key beeps if you wish, 10 squelch levels, BLC, VOX, side tones, DTMF, ANI PTT-ID, roger beep and more. This is a full two-package set with everything you need - charger batteries, charger cables, antennas, belt clips for each set. Another outstanding piece is the 3200mAh battery. This is one of the highest mAh batteries that I’ve come across for any HT. The quality of the audio is quite good - nice and clear and crisp from its built-in speaker. My transmit audio reports have been 5-9 with good audio quality as well. It’s really a super cute little radio and with its transparent case option that I ordered it looks unique and original unlike 99% of the HTs out there. An excellent radio set for emergency communications or SHTF scenarios. It’s at least as easy to use as any VHF/UHF HT and at 8 watts in such a small package its an impressive feat. At its current price point I think this is a good bargain and certainly reasonably priced for the 2x of everything that you’ll receive. Very happy to own this kit - it’s solid, functions well, and looks great too. Definitely a recommend to my fellow amateur radio operators out there.
