Empowering the Next Generation: Talkpod Supports the 2026 WAARCI Hamfest

The Johnson County Fairgrounds were buzzing with activity on July 18, 2026, as the Warrensburg Area Amateur Radio Club (WAARCI) successfully hosted their annual Hamfest 2026. This ARRL-sanctioned event brought together local enthusiasts for a morning of technical exchange, equipment discovery, and community connection.

Talkpod was proud to participate in this year's event through the Talkpod Youth Amateur Program. As part of our commitment to fostering growth within the amateur radio community, Talkpod sponsored the event by donating the A36plus MAX handheld radio.

Community Connection: The event highlighted the "Find an Elmer, Be an Elmer" initiative, connecting new hams with experienced mentors to help them navigate the hobby.

Hands-on Experience: Operators had the opportunity to test used equipment at the rig testing station and explore products from various vendors.
