Talkpod Youth Project Makes Waves at Flea at RPI Hamfest

February 1st, 2025, Troy, NY

The Talkpod Youth Project recently participated in the "Flea at RPI" Hamfest, held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at the Rensselaer Union in Troy, NY, and we are thrilled to announce it was a resounding success!

This student-run flea market, hosted by the W2SZ Amateur Radio Club, provided a fantastic indoor venue for enthusiasts to buy, sell, and explore electronics, ham radio equipment, and computers.  The event buzzed with energy from 9 AM to 2 PM, drawing in students and general attendees alike.

The Talkpod Youth Project was on-site, engaging with fellow ham radio enthusiasts, showcasing their projects, and connecting with the vibrant community by RPI teams. We were impressed by the organization and welcoming atmosphere created by the W2SZ Amateur Radio Club, and we extend our sincere gratitude to them for their support in making our participation so rewarding.

A highlight of the event was the door prize draw at noon, and we are delighted to congratulate the lucky winners! We hope the door prize brought extra joy to an already exciting day.

The Flea at RPI Hamfest was a valuable experience for the Talkpod Youth Project, providing a platform to connect with the amateur radio community, share our passion for technology, and learn from fellow enthusiasts. We look forward to future collaborations and events.
