NAN’AN, CHINA – February 26 2026
On the sidelines of the 2026 China (Quanzhou) Professional Communication and Emergency Industry Expo (PCEIE), a pivotal, closed-door symposium was held to chart the course for the next generation of private communication technology. Talkpod was honored to be invited alongside industry giants and regulatory experts to help define the future of the GB/T 32659-2016 national standards.
The summit, hosted by Niu Jin, Fellow of the China Institute of Communications, focused on implementing the latest national mandates regarding the 150MHz and 400MHz bands.
Standardization: A Catalyst for High-Quality Development
The dialogue centered on "Accelerating New Standards to Drive Industry Growth." Industry leaders from Talkpod, Hytera, and Kirisun engaged with regulatory bodies to address the critical hurdles facing the "Analog-to-Digital" transition. Key discussion points included:
Global Competitiveness: Addressing high patent costs for foreign vocoders and DMR protocols to protect industry margins.
Technological Inclusivity: Ensuring that new standards accommodate modern System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions, which often face different technical thresholds than traditional discrete component designs.
Tiered Regulations: Proposing a differentiated approach for public, business, and private-use radios to ensure that high-end innovation isn't stifled by a "one-size-fits-all" regulatory framework.
Talkpod’s Leadership: Digital First, Global Reach
As the first domestic manufacturer to advocate for comprehensive digitalization, Talkpod’s participation was highly influential. As a Category I member of the DMR Association, Talkpod has consistently bridged the gap between local manufacturing excellence and global communication standards.
During the symposium, Talkpod emphasized the importance of "New Quality Productive Forces"—integrating AI-driven noise cancellation and enhanced security encryption into the bedrock of the new national standards.
High-Level Recognition
The symposium followed an impactful visit to the Talkpod booth by Nan’an Mayor Wang Lianzan. The Mayor took a keen interest in Talkpod’s next-generation digital terminals, inquiring about market demand and the R&D trajectory for emergency-specific products.
"We are committed to building a distinct technical identity for Chinese brands," a Talkpod representative stated during the meet. "By taking the lead in digitalization and aligning with international expectations (CE/FCC), we are not only serving the domestic market but paving the way for the global expansion of Chinese mission-critical technology."
A Roadmap for Innovation
The successful conclusion of this symposium marks a significant step toward a more autonomous, advanced, and practical standard for digital communication in China. Talkpod remains dedicated to this collaborative process, ensuring that the future of the industry is built on a foundation of innovation, security, and global interoperability.
